Video Poker is a very much a combination of a slot machine and the game of poker. For every different credit that is used on the game a different virtual deck of cards will be used. This makes the poker experience all the more real.
There are many variations of the game of Video Poker but essentially the first thing to do is to choose the stake. Once this has been chosen and credits have been obtained the first spin can be made. Five cards will then be dealt across the screen and the player is given the option to hold any number of the cards. Cards should be held that enhance the chance winning, for example if a pair has been dealt they should be held to try to gain two pair, three of a kind, four of a kind or even a full house.
The chance of each possible winning hand has to be considered along with the respective payouts, which will be listed on the top of the machine or the top of the screen. Normally the lowest payout is for a pair of Jacks or better.
When the player has decided which cards to hold the deal button is pressed and the non-held cards are replaced by newly dealt cards. If a hand is made the player is apid out, if no hand is made another five cards are dealt the next time the deal button is pressed.
Some Video Poker Games have a progressive jackpot which is activated whenever a Royal Flush is made. Obviously this is a very rare occurrence but none the less the payouts are massive when it happens.
