Slot Machine Win Lines and Stakes
There are a lot more decisions to be made when playing slot machines than first meets the eye. Many people would think that someone simply picks which slot they want to play and then they start playing. However, depending on what the player wants go get out of their play, there are a few different options available to them.
There are many different units of stakes available on each slot machine and the slot machine odds will always payout a designated multiple of the chosen stake, depending on the symbols that appear on the win line. Slot Machine Odds and Payouts often vary from machine to machine.
When choosing the stake the player has to consider the amount of win lines he is going to play. Modern slots don’t just offer the one win line associated with normal fruit machines. They allow you to cover any win line available on the screen, which is 9 win lines for a three reel slot machine (the same win lines as in a noughts and crosses game), and 20 win lines for a five reel slot machine. The player is able to choose exactly how many win lines the wish to cover, although most players choose to either play very few win lines, or all of the win lines. When the amount of win lines has been selected, each spin will cost the player their unit stake multiplied by number of win lines covered.
Obviously the more win lines that are chosen, the more chance there is of winning each spin, but the chances of winning from twenty spins with one win line selected is the same as winning from one spin with twenty win lines selected.
